Instagram recently launched a new feature, 'Quick Replies.' Quick Replies are like canned responses, you create these responses ahead of time and can quickly choose from them when replying to Direct Messages. This is a time saver!
You set up Quick Replies based on trigger words, here's how it works...
Head to your Instagram profile and tap on the three-lined menu at the top right. Once that expands, tap the 'Settings' button at the bottom.
Once you're in Settings, scroll down until you find the option 'Quick Replies' and tap.
This is where you can write you Quick Reply. Your 'Shortcut' word is something that the sender mentions in their initial Direct Message, this is the trigger word. You can only write one word. The 'Message' is the Quick Reply that they will receive in response to their message. You create both of these.
Save your Quick Reply. You can add as many quick replies as you wish and delete them at any time.
Here's how it works on the front end...
Once you receive a message, click on the first icon in the response field, the comment bubble with three dots, this will bring up your Quick Replies to select.
Once you select the Quick Reply, it will auto-populate in the message field. Click send!
